Have been using your fantastic wordpress addon in the development of my new site. I was just wondering if it was possible to keep the current selected parent tab highlighted at all and was also wondering as I have it situated in a div tag if it was possible to keep it centered within that? Please check my website http://www.rmvalues.com/blog/ the menu card, and you will see it works, it come out sub page > credit card > master cards etc.

But when you click on any page like card or credit card, then after the page loaded, you will see the plugin is not working over here. You can see top menu, but the subpage are not come out, any.

Is it any installation problem of mine or it’s some bug over there?

It returned to normal function when I disabled the JQuery Dropdowns.

Any thoughts on why? I updated to WP 2.9.1 weeks before downloading JQuery Dropdown Menu v.2.0

I didn’t put the closing carrots.

I’ve tried replacing it with

and with:

<img src="/images/image.gif” alt=”Drop Down” width=”13″ height=”7″ />

The first one I tried I get no errors, but doesn’t show the image. The second one gives an error for the plug-in and deactivates it.

Again I’ve changed the css, and everything else fine, but wanted my own down arrow image for the drop down. (This is for level 1 of the menu)

I have a menu with 6 links.

The 6th link has 4 subpages.

When I hover over #6, the subpages dropdown back at the other end of the menu under the “Home” page link.

I don’t know whether it’s javascript playing tricks on my theme or a css issue. What I do know is you would laugh at me trying to catch those darned links;-)

Any thoughts?

Could you let me have some more information on how the page order works.

I would like to be able to order both the top level menu and the submenu items.

From the settings I can see that I can select the page order (although there appears to be 2 settings the same) and also the way around (i.e. low to high or whatever).

If I select low to high and have a page with page order 1 and another for 2 at the top level they one way around. I change the numbers around and the order remains the same.

I cannot get the page order to have any effect on the low level menus.

It would be great if you were able to help me out here.

But I am using XHTML transitional and the plugin is making my site invalid

Specifically I am getting these errors:
Line 60, Column 10: required attribute “type” not specified

and a couple of these:
Line 70, Column 65: document type does not allow element “span” here

I am not sure how to fix this. Could you please advise? This plugin is exactly what I need, but I also need to make the site valid for my client. Thanks!

Can you elaborate on how to stop the tooltips from appearing when the menu items are moused-over?

I found the wp-list line in the PHP file:

How can I remove the popups when I hover over a menu title? It hides the menu title in the drop-down and I do not need to read the title twice.

I was wondering if there is any possibility to use the jquery.js javascript from another plugin already installed.

In another word, cancel the use of :
- wp-content/plugins/jquery-drop-down-menu-plugin/jquery.min.js

but

- /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js

It would optimize and save every page about 50Kb.

I will add a feature in the admin to insert your own navigation item with title, URL, and custom class name.

But there’s still a problem with the plugin. Now the options seems to be locked… even if I change settings, when I press “update options” they revert to the default.

However, this is the best “drop-down menu” plugin I ever tried! Go ahead, I’ll be your tester as soon as you need.

I can see it’s possible to manually insert a link before and after the plugin generated links.

I don’t know javascript syntax very well, so I took the your syntax that called the home link and manually appended the rss feed variable. I know there is a Wordpress tag to use, but I couldn’t figure out the right syntax for a javascript echo.

In PHP, I have it this way:

I have a curiosity.
I see there is an option to include a home link in the nav.

Is it possible to include others?
For example, I like to include the RSS link, and give that particular it’s own class so I can add the RSS logo as a background image and pad the left so the link bumps over.

I’m not great at javascript, but i think I might be able to manually enter it in the PHP file with function jquery_drop_down_menu

I tried your plugin… it’s the best I’ve ever found for Primepress theme (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/primepress), it doesn’t have drop down menu by default.

I’m experiencing two difficulties:

1) I think your plugin’s option aren’t properly saved in db so they reset at every click in my control panel… I’m using WP 2.9 (with italian localization). A strange problem, indeed!

2) I’m not able to copy the template CSS in your FANTASTIC plugin CSS. Can you help me? Knowing where to put your hands, in order to modify a CSS, it’s a gift I still don’t have…
